Update....
I do realize that it has been a little while since I sat down to post an update....It's not that there hasn't been anything to post about....there has been plenty!! Almost too much....but when it seems that I might have the time to sit down and put it on the blog, I make the choice to do something else...
So here are a few pictures, some random thoughts and happenings......
1. We had our 2nd annual camping adventure in our back yard on the 4th of July. Last year there was a storm at 2am...this year = complete bliss, a bit chilly and the old bones didn't take too much of a liking to the hard ground, but nevertheless, we toughed it out....
2.Tracy and I had our first "real" date since we have moved here 3 years ago, it was last Friday....this is going to sound a bit odd, but we have never really been able to find a babysitter within our circle of friends....in reality our circle of friends is not that vast to begin with anyway. We hate to ask other people within our small group since we know they have children and the last thing we would want to do is add another. Normally we just go to functions that include child care and we can get the best of both worlds.....Also, it might be that we are taking our time to find just the right person to watch Owen. Well, as luck would have it...we think we have found the right person. Her name is Josie and from what Owen tells us, he likes her alot. YEAH for us!!! Yeah for date night!! Now I just have to brush off the rust, sharpen my dating skillz and figure out how to sweep my wife off her feet again....
3. We let off about $60 worth of fireworks the night of the 4th, since they are legal here...I love fireworks!! I think my son loves them more...gonna have to keep an eye on him in the future...
This picture is a token, or memoir of what happens when your 3 year old has drum sticks and uses the front of your LCD 42" TV Screen as the cymbal. Yes, Owen is 6 now...Yes, I still have the TV upstairs and every once in a while, I plug it in and turn it on to see if by some miracle it has fixed itself....well, after 3 yrs, Tracy is making me get rid of it...to make room for our house guests later this month....SIGH....
3. We are anxiously awaiting our vacation coming up at the end of the month....We are going to the beach....! I can't wait to get sand in my shorts!
